What is a jetboard, motorised jetboard, motorised surfboard, electric jetboard, electric surfboard?

A jetboard is basically an engine propelled board made for water. A powered surfboards. Often incorretly referred to as the Jetsurf, which is simply the name of one particular brand of jetboard. Jetboards are basically powered surfboards with an engine, either petrol or electric. The rider controls the speed with a hand held control, this control is sometimes attached to a rope on the front of the board making it more stable and easier to turn, while some controls can be held freely. Which is better, petrol jetboards or electric jetboards? Petrol jetboards or electric jetboards

There are pros and cons with petrol jetboards and electric jetboards. Some of the main differences are Petrol jetboards are much lighter than electric jetboards - Electric jetboards themselves arent always very heavy but the batteries are. Petrol jetboards have a much longer ride time as you just have to add more fuel and you can keep riding - Electric jetboards usually have a ride time of between 20 - 40 minutes depending on your weight and speed, Its worth mentioning that you can also take extra batteries with you for your electric board to extend your ride time. Petrol jetboard batteries will charge much quicker than an electric batteries (some of them can be charged in your car), infact some of the newer models actually have an alternator so you dont ever have to charge the battery. Some have removable batteries so you can take an extra battery or two if you wanted to extend your ride time - Electric batteries can only be charged using (EU 220v - 240v & US 110v). You can fly with a petrol jetboard. - You can fly with your electric jetboard but the batteries are lithium ion and are not allowed on passenger planes, they have to fly on cargo planes as they are classified as dangerous goods. You are more restricted as to where you can ride your 2 stroke petrol jetboard. - A lot of lakes dams, rivers etc will not allow petrol jetboards but they will allow electric jetboards. There are more parts that can go wrong with the workings of a petrol jetboard. - Electric jetboards dont have a lot of parts to them so there is less to go wrong. They are louder than the electric jetboards. - Electric jetboards arent totally silent but they are really quiet compared to the petrol jetboards. Petrol jetboards give off smoke and do pollute the air and water while being used to a certain extent. - Electric jetboards do not pollute the air or water at all while being used. Petrol jetboards are not floatation devices. - You can float on an electric jetboard without it causing any problems.
